Really friendly staff in spite of being under pressure. fabulous salads. only marked atmosphere low because it was very busy/noisy on this occasion. loved it.
A lovely little farm cafe, right next to a nice farm shop, that is set back from the main road which makes you feel like you are in a more remote location. the cafe is a fantastic place to bring the family and relax. there is a lovely playground with swings, slides and a ride on digger. staff were friendly, professional and polite. service could have been a little faster but i guess that could be blamed on fussy customers in front of me. price is a little steep with two cream teas coming to around £10+ the scones are big and you don't get a lot of jam and cream to spread. but all in all i left here with positive experience and will be back.
We stopped here by accident really after a huge delay at dartford (surprise), needing a break from the road and a quick lunch. apart from taking a while to find from the a12, it was a good experience, relaxed, freshly made sandwiches and toasties.
This is the perfect place for breakfast. great choice of food which is always hot and flavoursome. really good coffee too. plus its right next door to a fabulous farm shop. win/win
The food has always been lovely at the barnyard cafe, and the staff are friendly and polite. highly recommend a visit - even though i selfishly don't want it to get too popular!! it has a lovely relaxed country cafe atmosphere. perfect for mums after the school drop off, or for an informal business meeting. if you go, it is worth then going to the farm shop (calcott hall farm) as you can find some fresh fruit and veg, our favourite butcher, a good cheese counter and a fresh fish counter.
