The new refit looks amazing and they’re constantly bringing in new equipment. the team are always super friendly and helpful. tom, lisa and mike are an asset to the company and all the other class instructors and pts are well clued up.
Good gym, value for money. has a few areas in which they could improve, but which place doesn't? staff come across as friendly and the few interactions i have had, they've actually been friendly.
I've been going to better gym in the bay tree centre ever since it opened. i generally walk there as part of the exercise routine but if i have to go by car it's easy to park for free at sainsburys over the road provided you spend £5. easily done on a bottle of wine to celebrate having completed an exercise class. the staff and regulars make it feel like family. to be honest i'd be lost without the daily routine. it does better for my well being than any of the happy tablets ive been prescribed and i'm nearly beach ready lol. i mostly go to the morning classes as i lack the motivation to go it alone on the equipment although i do occasionally dabble. it's great value for money. since the renovation was completed. its inviting and done out to a high standard the staff always work hard in keeping it clean. next move is to get my husband to sign up once he goes part time.
So yeah i went to prison today (and most days) for my workout. i must say there was no poor treatment by the guards or any reasonable fear of being violated while bending over to pick up the soap bar in the showers 😂😂😂 better gym, this entry system is annoying af to be honest. i have to scan/tap multiple times before i'm allowed in, and when walking in i have to take baby steps to avoid damaging my ankles in the revolving prison-like entry system. worst ever! equipment, weights, training studio, and cardio areas are reasonably fine. haven't tried the sauna or other facilities. might update again soon if i do. overall: recommended 👍🏽. the prison entry system won't bother you too much if you have tiny feet 😜
