I had an exceptional experience at the brentwood kitchen. the premises is welcoming with a charming décor and a friendly ambiance. the menu impressed me and the food was really tasteful with generous portion sizes. the staff's politeness and enthusiasm, even accommodating us without a reservation, set them apart. the brentwood kitchen strikes a perfect balance between a vibrant atmosphere and warm, welcoming vibes. whether for a casual meal or special event, it's a must-visit. with delectable food, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance, i wholeheartedly recommend it. can't wait to return!
Threw my mum & dad a surprise 30th wedding anniversary saturday night and it was a pleasure from start to finish. great staff, service & food. perfect place for a party. special mention to sam for helping me from the start of my planning right up until the evening she was on call 24/7 with any questions i had! thank you again all at tbk for making it such a special evening x
The food here!! *dribbling* from the pancakes. a chicken burger to the fry up! every single bite was an absolute winner! the drinks were all delicious. with great presentation and unique flare. the staff! huge round of applause to the team. they made us feel very welcome and displayed a real fun team mentality. it's nice to see the younger generation working with such professionalism. the customer service, they definitely went above and beyond. the kids got a complimentary milkshake, which was a really nice touch. our server was attentive and focused. she was very friendly and warm. i only drop one mark on the atmosphere due to the bar area being a little too busy for my eyes. very reasonable prices and the portion sizes are deceivingly filling!
This was probably my 5th or 6th visit over the past couple years - by no means am i a regular but it seems to just be getting slower. the first few times were so delicious - fabulous meal and amazing service. i brought my mum last time, very slow service and the food wasn’t great. today unfortunately i sat for over 20 minutes waiting to be seen… and there were only 2 other tables at that time. by the time i finished, it was fuller and at least one table walked out after a long wait to be seen. the people next to me asked if someone would come around to them. staff yelling about the music… very odd experience today. food was ok but nothing spectacular for an eggs florentine and a cappuccino- not worth £18.50. waited after i was finished to get another drink - but ended up sitting another 15+ minutes to wait so i decided to go up to pay and ask for the drink as takeaway but was told no unless i’d wait because they had other tables. honestly. kind of shocking. it felt like i was an inconvenience even when i first arrived. that said - i’m sure i’ll be back … still like the vibe of the place… hope it was just an off day like we all have =)
Atmosphere is always good here but i've not been for a year or two and quite honestly it's nothing like it used to be.. lots of mistakes on our orders. very long wait, and the food wasn't nowhere near what it used to be. the chicken and waffles were bone dry with almost no flavour, we was told the long wait was due to the chicken taking 20 mins to cook but they were literally tiny goujons and looked and tasted like they were basic shop bought ones, the waffle stated hash brown waffles and these were not hash brown waffles, they tasted exactly like frozen birdseye waffles. asked for sourdough bread as the option for toast and got normal white bread. questioned it and was told it was sourdough. it clearly wasn't so we just paid for it. paid £40 deposit for table and only £20 taken off bill. even when we showed the waitress our bank account she didn't believe us and called the manager. such a shame as this used to be one of my favourite places to eat.
