Kumon Maths & English

My daughter started attending kumon after we learned that she had lost her confidence in school. She attended the Bridgend Kumon Centre for approximately 2 years. After starting maths kumon her confidence in herself improved massively and the improvement was noticed in all areas in school. She was moved up from bottom set to top set in maths and English. We chose Kumon as after researching different tutoring companies that the approach they took with the students was best suited. I would highly recommend Kumon to anyone, as we have seen the massive benefit it has made to our daughter both academically and in herself as a person.

My daughters 4 and 6 have been going to Kumon for 4 months and the difference it’s made already makes me quite excited about where they will be after a year. I wish we found Kumon sooner! My husband and I have bought a lot of maths workbooks in the past trying to help develop our daughters’ math skills, but we never made much progress and we all ended up frustrated and dreading math homework. After doing an assessment, Ann explained the Kumon approach and where our girls would start from; establishing a solid foundation of the basics first and foremost, and building with a consistent approach. Kumon’s helped us be more effective at helping our daughters to learn, and we all enjoy dedicating a little time every day to the work. We even took the booklets on holidays over the summer. Ann keeps in-touch regularly by text to check how the girls are progressing to make sure the work she sets them is right for them. My son started Kumon since last November, he is in year 1 and Ann has been teaching him maths and English. Since then he has improved in both subjects and also knows he needs to do homework regularly which puts him in a good practice for future. Kumon has been recommended by my friends based in England and Wales and I am glad that I have enrolled him. Ann has been wonderful providing zoom classes during lockdown and kept her students up to date. My 8 year old son has been on the Kumon Maths programme for just over a month and I am very pleased with his progress. As well as improving his numeracy skills, Kumon has had a positive effect on his powers of concentration and his handwriting. A friend recommended the Kumon system, as her children had benefited greatly from it. My son is not keen on homework of any kind, and it takes commitment from parents to ensure that the work is carried out and marked everyday, but it is worth it and I would definitely recommend the programme.

My both kids joined Kumon , Bridgend centre when they were 4 years old and enjoyed learning with Kumon for nearly a decade. They joined for both English and Maths. Kumon has really helped them to be way ahead of their peers right from young age. It kind of infused discipline in them and boosted their confidence. Doing the kumon work sheets everyday helped them to complete their work faster in school as well. Their was always help and support available from the Ann, the tutor when needed.
