Heronston Hotel & Leisure Club

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel now nearly all the re furbishments have been completed I find it strange they are still only going into the rooms when you leave yes you just have to ask for clean towels and you can replenish you tea and coffee at reception the pool is OK but a bit of a pain getting into it we only had one room key so had to let my wife into our room then take the card back to reception to exchange it for the fob for the pool it's a good job that it was light because my wife would have been sat in the dark as the key card works the electrics some times you have to wait a bit to be served at the bar as staff are elsewhere even saying that we will return again because yes the hotel is nice it's so well situated for the golf we want to play and visiting relatives

Lovely hotel, great staff and service. Only critique, is with the on going updates and this distracts from how nice it could look. The spa pool hasn't worked in the few weeks Ive been there either. I few updates required, which I'm sure as time goes on will be done. A bit of a wait for food/drinks at busy times, but if with fellow guests, it nice to have the time to socialise and relax whilst waiting.

The last time I was at the Heronston hotel was a few years ago for a wedding reception, this time I was here in a professional capacity and on both occasions I had a wonderful time. The hotel is conveniently placed for Bridgend Town or the beach at Ogmore by sea. The grounds and surroundings are offset from a busy main road, but you wouldn't know it. There is plenty of parking, and entry is flat if you're a wheelchair user. There is ground floor as well as upper floor rooms for longer stays than mine, and they are competitively priced. There is a spa and a swimming pool, but you need to book your place for these.

We were very disappointed this time with our spa day. It was our second visit and expected it to be as good as our first. There was no robes available. There was a referb going on and you had to step over tools to get to the spa area. We had booked for afternoon tea but we're told we were having the lunch option instead and our spa treatments were one after the other so we had to do the pool time alone. The only positive was the massage was lovely. Very disappointed overall this time

Very hospitable, all staff had good character and were very welcoming. Me and my wife enjoyed the spa area, often just ourselves. Lounging for 2 days highly recommended!
