Steak and Stamp

This is a lovely little place tucked away in Pencoed that was recommended to us and that we will be recommending onto others. The staff were super friendly and all pitching in with a variety of tasks in the restaurant. The portions were generous and the quality excellent. There were enough great options on the menu to ensure we will definitely be back to try it all!

Heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try , to see if it’s as good as everyone makes out . The restaurant is small with limited seating. They also have 2 summer houses at the rear of the restaurant for extra seating 6 people in each . It’s a good idea to look at the menu on line to give yourself an idea of what’s on the menu . We were seated in the. Summer house as there were 6 of us . We all chose the sharing platters , I had the châteaubriand and it was really really good . The others had the mixed platter which included sirloin, ribeye and filet with 2 sides and 2 dips all cooked to a very high standard. The garlic sauce was a little disappointing but the pepper sauce was nice , the mushroom and red wine sauce was also nice . Service was excellent. Will be booking again

What a Steak experience. There were 5 of us so we booked a dining shed out the back. This will comfortably sit 6 people, you can close the door and have privacy. There is a heater if you require and a speaker playing background music. 5 people in our party. We had ordered the Steak & Stamp Banquet which is advertised for 4 people but would easily feed 6 (you can order extra sides if you want). The banquet was £120 (at time of writing) and included 10oz Ribeye, 10oz Rump, 20ox Tomahawk, 20oz Chateaubriand, chunky chips, dirty fries, sweet potato fries, garlic mushrooms, cabbage&bacon, onion rings, garlic bread (2ciabatta loaves), stilton sauce, peppercorn sauce and garlic sauce. The food was lovely, the chateau steak was the nicest steak I have ever had ( you can get chateaubriand as a sharer for 2 with 2 sides and 2 sauces). I tried a Porter Ale with my meal and it was really nice. The atmosphere being in a private "shed" was good, there is a railway line behind but this didn't distract from the good company we had. All in all, we have a great evening, the service was top notch (you have a service button if you need more beers etc), everyone said how great the food was. Thank you so much Steak & Stamp for a wonderful celebration evening for my daughter's & Sons partners Graduations. I think my wife and I will be back soon for a sharer for 2. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Steak & Stamp Restaurant to anyone. They are expanding and also do takeaway. A beef (or mushroom) wellington Sunday lunch/dinner is going to be in my life soon too. Parking is a short walk away down the road or across the road bridge.

Absolutely love this place, a real hidden jewel in Pencoed. Perfect steak, melt in your mouth, quality you'd expect from the finest grill houses. Service is great, staff are attentive and friendly. Always look forward to coming here, never ever disappointed. Oh and the bacon cabbage 😋 👌

Yet another lovely evening at this wonderful place. ( extended birthday treat). This time I got the privilege of seeing our Sharers meal being prepared and cooked in front of us 😋 The samphire and garlic as one of our sides was a delicious choice, along with the Mediterranean veg. I starved myself all day knowing what I was in for? And man o man, they didn’t disappoint. Thank you again 😋😋
