Excellent service! I needed some help with the stability of my front wheel (Reynolds Strike). Call the shop: Chris gave me a professional advice above the spokes and truing the wheel. In 30min. he did a fantastic job and now loving my bike again. Thanks Chris!

Chris was an absolute hero!! After 3 trips to another bike shop for a problem with my Di2 Hydraulic break caliper, I thought I’d get a second opinion! Chris was able to trouble shoot it and fix it without a problem! Really impressive diagnostic skills. Super friendly despite being clearly very busy and took the time to explain everything along the way! Really appreciated him staying late to fix it so that I could get away to the Alps for some riding! Thank you! Will definitely be back and recommending to all my friends!

Incredibly friendly, honest, fair shop. I blew a tube nearby and limped over and got the help I needed swapping tubes and inflating the tire with enthusiasm and even free. Came back and got a full service when a wheel broke, and my bike rides like a dream now. Can't recommend highly enough. They understand customer loyalty, and they certainly have mine.

Looking to buy a new or second-hand bike, or simply wanting to fix/service/upgrade your current bike, look no more! Cyclewand is your local, independent and friendly bike shop that offers all of that and more! I have a Trek Émonda ALR-5 (2020), which was always serviced at Trek®. I really value my bike and I’m very selective where I get it serviced. Conscious that my bike was due for a service, my impulse was to take it back to Trek® or find a big brand to do it in the area. However, I decided to give Cyclewand a try, and I couldn’t have been happier! I was welcomed by Chris a friendly and very approachable mechanic, with years of experience in the industry. His enthusiasm and welcoming attitude had me talking with him for 30-minutes. He was new to to Cyclewand and had really re-vamped the place. I wanted to know three things: 1- What Cyclewand had to offer and for how much? 2- How do I know a mechanic is trustworthy and knowledgeable enough to diss-assemble my valuable bike? 3- How can I learn more about servicing, re-building and overall mechanics of a bike in a very structured way? Beyond the routine chain care and tire change. Chris addressed all my concerns and questions. He laid out the various services that Cyclewand offers and happily explained to me where their competency comes from – formal training and years of experience working in this sector. He even showed me his own bike, which to my surprise was the same model as mine! Regarding learning more about bikes, not that I was planning on a career change, but I always approach learning a new skill in a very structured and methodical way. Chris explained how many professionals in this industry learn through apprenticeship, however he intuitively knew what I was looking for and introduced me to the “Cytech curriculum”. I appreciated how he was able to read what I was looking for and offer the honest advice I was looking for. Chris even offered for me to come in, at an extra cost, whilst I had my bike repaired and learn all these skills up to an equivalent of what is taught at a Cytech level 2 – more or less. I came in on a Friday morning, had the deluxe service with a 6 hour one-on-one training session, where I got to learn: chain assembly and maintenance; disk break inspection; gear adjustment; hanger alignment; bearing inspection; wheel alignment and spoke adjustment; handlebar deconstruction and spacer adjustment, to list a few. During our maintenance/teaching session, many customers would pop in with a question, some wanting to fix their child’s bike, others wanting a quick pump of their tires. Chris helped everyone! I probably saw him solve a dozen people’s problems that day. This is the beauty of independent shops! You are met with genuine people, who love what they do, offer high-quality services for a fraction of the price. I didn’t pay much heed to this place until my bike needed maintenance. I highly recommend Cyclewand. They are professional, timely, reasonably priced and friendly. This time when I serviced my bike I got so much more than I bargained for. For starters I got a very friendly and enthusiastic mechanic, who not only serviced my bike, but took time to teach and explain to me everything he was doing. I got a full deluxe service, where every single component was checked and serviced by Chris as if it was his very own bike, all whilst enthusiastically explaining things and being positive to me and any customer approaching his door step. I acquired the knowledge on cycle maintenance and payed a fraction of the price I would have payed anywhere else. What more could I need! Highly recommend this place.

Came in with a puncture, the person was on his break, but was super nice and quickly finished his break (I was happy to wait). Took 15-20 minutes, he sorted it while I went off for a walk. Beautifully done and super nice. Even asked if I was a student to give me a discount without me asking. Overall, a great service and I will certainly be back again for all my bike needs 😁
