S.E. Skinner & Son looked after both my mother and father after they passed away and I couldn’t my have asked for more sensitivity at those difficult times. Everyone I dealt with was both compassionate and understanding and Shaun in particular had the time and patience to understand our needs in advance and provide exactly the send off we hoped for on the days themselves. It was a service offered with genuine care and dignity and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for someone to entrust their loved ones to.

Our family could not have been happier with the service delivered by Skinners when dealing with the death of my late mother. We were actually return customers as we had been so satisfied with their handling of my late fathers funeral 10 years beforehand. Some complex circumstances meant that we had tight deadlines to meet in arranging the funeral. Shaun, Annie, April and the behind the scenes team could not have been more helpful in making sure that we met those deadlines with no compromise whatsoever in quality. The levels of professionalism, support and attention to detail were exemplary and I would not hesitate in recommending them.

When making arrangements for my mother's funeral we found all the staff to be very professional caring and compassionate. As a family we valued their help and guidance throughout the whole process and would definitely recommend their services.

As the priest invited to take the funeral of a wonderful man, Barrie Anscombe I was immensely impressed with how Skinner's staff was so cooperative given the difficulties which presented themselves. Barrie was a long time friend of Shaun the Funeral Director. It was only in November that we held a service at the Crematorium for his beloved mother. After I had planned to visit his dad and brothers that had to be cancelled because of Covid difficulties, Skinners informed me of the Covid problem and we had to proceed by phone. Something I won't normally do. The family were naturally very upset but Shaun's utterly compassionate and efficient way of conducting the preliminaries of the service and his well judged and sensitive sense of humour created an atmosphere where I could play my part I hope in bringing some comfort to this wonderful family. All of the Skinners staff were an enormous help and they do credit to their profession.

I cannot praise these funeral directors highly enough. Annie arranged everything just as I wanted it for my mother's funeral. She was always there at the end of the phone and when there were hitches she could always sort them out and calm me down. On the day, Sean, who was in charge of proceedings was also wonderful, calm, friendly, caring and professional. I do not think I could have had a better service anywhere. Thanks so much you made a very sad day, very special.
