Good course with very interesting holes. But a real shame it's not better maintained, a lot of dead grass on greens and fairways. But still a lot of fun

A good long established downland course. Apart from a couple of greens that do hold water for a few hours after heavy rain, it rarely gets too wet to play. It can get quite windy on top of the hills but the spectacular views make this a pleasant course to play throughout the year. The new leaseholders have spent a lot of time on the course and continue to make improvements

Good basic food, presented and served well. Attended an event in their upstairs events room which had beautiful views out. Staff could not be more helpful. There is a lift for access to the first floor. All toilets on the ground floor.

I played Hollingbury earlier this week and was really impressed with the quality of the fairways and greens. It a very well designed and challenging public golf course but based on my experience of other local courses it is one of the best in terms of variety of holes ,degree of difficulty and amazing views. The current owners and management team have transformed the course from one that had an unloved feel about it to one which is a joy to play. Congratulations to the staff and definitely my go to course !

Excellent downland 18 hole par 72 course with fantastic 360 degree views of Sussex. The new owners have invested extensively in improving the fairways, greens and bunkers. The cafe bar is welcoming to all and is also improving choice in the catering department. The function room upstairs is perfect for large gatherings such as Weddings or special birthdays. Green fees are good value and every hole has its own character. No two are similar. It's challenging but also forgiving - just keep out of the rough during summer, you might not be discovered again until the Autumn.
