We were greeted at the entrance by a staff member holding tightly to the door as a gale blew in from the sea. our waiter was friendly and helpful and prompt without being overbearing. a beautiful vegetarian starter platter was the star of the meal, followed by generous portions of rich creamy chicken korma and perfectly cooked chicken biryanis. hot masala tea and off to the sea front well sated. great location, excellent food and convivial company. 5 stars
Awesome view from the restaurant...the food quality, quantity and service is great...
Not a planned visit. staff were attentive on arrival. waitress dropped a vessel with liquid in it next to me and was unaware that the liquid had covered my canvas shoes and my leg. another waitress sppotted it and bought me some serviettes to mop myself up. the food arrived and looked good. we waited for cutlery or at least serviettes to enable us to eat the food but none was forthcoming. the table next to us had fish and chips and cutlery was not forthcoming for them, until after at least 5 minutes they were able to ask for some. we ate our meal without the cutlery which was lovely but the lack of attention to detail with service let the restaurant down, but service charge was added to the bill, even though we left disappointed with no one asking if we even enjoyed the food and the lack of service. would eat there again as food was good and good value. their income obviously enhanced by the service charge. hopefully this is a learning curve.
Amazing experience at malika. i had booked for my graduation dinner and they did not disappoint with the service and the food. they even helped me by putting up my decorations for me the day before so my table/ walls were all ready and pretty when we got there the next day. the food was very good, flavourful and plenty of it (portions were huge no one could finish their plate but we were able to get takeaway boxes). very attentive and lovely staff and pretty views of the sea. will be back for more!
Food and service were good. views are cool too. it's nice to sit outside with view of the sea and watch the world go by. i had the lamb biryani and the meat was lovely and tender. not at all tough and very tasty. there was a nice amount of ghee used giving a good buttery flavour, without being too greasy. i am used to having a vegetable curry being served with a biryani usually else where so was surprised it wasn't here but it's not a deal breaker
