The Chilli Pickle

I am totally amazed by this place - vibrant but not loud, balanced, cosy but also formal. It’s so hard to find a restaurant that has great food, friendly and efficient staff, great location/space and lovely ambience. Definitely in my favourite places in Brighton. Most delicious food, so tasty and fresh, no long wait times and the friendly staff accommodated us even in a packed evening! I highly highly recommend if you want sn overall great experience.

Very interesting menu of Indian street food. Lots of small plates with a wide selection of unusual and authentic dishes. A good selection of vegetarian options available. Everything was nicely spiced but nothing that hot it would blow your head off. Busy at weekend lunchtimes but capable of catering for large groups too. Definitely worth visiting especially if you are looking for something a little different from your Indian cuisine.

A bright, friendly modern Indian. The decor was great, service was warm and attentive, the portions were generous and everything looked fantastic. The only thing letting the Chilli Pickle down was the food, which was... fine. A little bland, without the depth and richness I'd hoped for. Certainly not terrible, but nothing to write home about.

Brilliant! Really tasty food with authentic flavours. Really good for allergens and loads of veggie and meat options. Service was a bit hit and miss, but overall great. Maybe a tad more expensive than I would’ve thought, but really good! Recommend!

Amazing restaurant, but it is now very expensive (compared to our last visit over 5 years ago). Took the family for a special birthday treat, as we lived it so much last time we visited Brighton. Atmosphere, food and service are excellent as always. Prawns were our favourite meal last time - but now you get 3 prawns for £12.00 and they were nowhere near as nice as before. Total bill £297 for 7 people including 12.5% service charge. Starters and mains with 2 drinks each.
