Specs Opticians

I don't live in Brighton but took my kids down there several weeks ago. Wandering along and loved a pair of glasses they had in the window. Tried them on and instantly loved them. Enquired about whether they could do prescription lenses and they said they could do them there and then within an hour! Luckily managed to find most recent eye-test results online. Bearing in mind this was also a Bank Holiday. Took the kids for food and came back and they were perfect first time. Fitted fine (they'd adjusted to make a tad tighter), and lenses spot-on. Totally blown away not only by their speed, but also just how nice and efficient they were. Jamie who looked after me was superb. Would highly recommend, and def going back there for my backup pair too.

Came to write Specs a glowing review and I can see lots of people have beaten me to it. That is testament to what a great team they are at Specs. I live in Brighton and have been coming here for years to get my glasses. I wear my glasses all day every day so it's a big deal to get a new pair. I look at frames in other shops but always end up getting my frames from here, they have a great selection (especially for smaller faces) and they're really good at looking at the shape of your face and finding the perfect pair. If you need an eye test I recommend getting it done here as well, I had an eye test done at Vision Express which turned out to be the wrong prescription(!). Specs did an eye test and sorted it for it me with no fuss, now I have two pairs of glasses I love, which are the correct prescription. I fully expect that when I need another new pair I will go back to Specs and they will find me a lovely pair again.

Whilst on a weekend away in Brighton I lost my glasses and only had prescription sunglasses with me.. Not only could Specs use those sunglasses to figure out my prescription but they had me back in a pair of glasses within the hour. Amazing service and super friendly, absolute lifesavers for my emergency when every other optician told me 2 weeks.

What a super opticians in Brighton I discovered this week. Just fancied a day out at the seaside and came across Spec as they had a great display of Ray Bans. I’ve always struggled a bit with sunglasses as I’m a bit short sighted but the lovely Sian said that it be easy for Specs to put my prescription in them but I was very hesitant as thought it would take a week and I am not local. To my surprise what Sian meant was that it would only take about an hour. I went and had wander and some lunch and an hour and twenty minutes came the call to say that they ready. Totally brilliant and really friendly service. Thank you Sian and Chris 😎😎

After breaking my glasses the night before, I arrived at 9.30am the next day and walked out wearing fabulous new glasses about an hour later ... the longest part was me trying to choose which frames to buy, as they had so much choice! I have only been to chain/High Street opticians before where I tend to only like one or two frames, but I literally could have bought 30 different frames in Specs - I was so impressed. Jamie, the manager, went beyond my expectations for customer service too and the other staff were also very helpful. Highly recommended and I will definitely be going back for my next pair, as there really is no comparison to Specs and the standard chain opticians!
