The food and service are exceptional. Every time I visit Brighton I shall be coming here.

A bit different from my experience last summer, but food was still great! The banana squid was interesting, you should give it a try.

There are not many places in the UK that do seafood quite like this, and quite so well! We had the the seafood sharing platter (pictured). It cost £150, and we split it amongst 5 people. Food was actually the perfect amount, all left feeling very satisfied.

The quality of the food was impeccable Staff not quite polite. I booked in advance and I specifically asked for a table inside. I also mentioned that it was my birthday but nobody cared. Phil, tall guy with curly hair and glasses, welcomed us and told me in a very rude way that there were no more table inside so we had to sit outside. When I politely pointed out that I asked specifically for a table inside he started to be passive aggressive telling me that we were late and he had to “no show” us even if I was within 15min of tolerance. (open table and restaurant rules) but it was 8.43 and we had a reservation for 8.30 so we were on time. I’m a returning customer and every time I come to Brighton I come to eat here because the food is great. If it wasn’t for this, I would have left straight away. Please don’t let Phil welcome or interact with customers because is not a very good first impression for a restaurant. We were then served by Eric, from Costa Rica and he was very attentive and professional, a great credit for the business. I put in the notes of the reservation that my girlfriend is gluten and lactose intolerant and we had to ask for a separate menu (Please read the notes and be prepared to welcome customer without treating them all in the same way, specially if you know before their dietary requirements) We got the sharing platter and the food as I mentioned, was delicious and the seafood was incredible.

Had a lovely seaside meal here, the monk fish tasted divine, as did the lobster roll starter. My only note would be the portion sizes. Service was great, didn’t catch our waitresses name but she was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Will deffo come back when next in Brighton.
