Miller & Carter Brighton

Had a lovely meal our server Linda was amazing. Due to sun coming through In restaurant and blinding one of us we moved 3 times ! Food was perfect. Linda was very pleasant and helpful we stayed overnight and bar staff were just as good. Only criticism the bar shut at 10.30 ? For a Saturday night found that quite early?

Josh was our waiter and he was excellent. Very polite and professional and a pleasure to deal with. The food was excellent with portion sizes just about right. Nice atmosphere and surroundings. Sadly, the garlic mushrooms were not available, which was disappointing and also the coffee machine wasn’t working.

My girlfriend and I booked on a Thursday for "dates and steaks" night and both really enjoyed it , the food was great, wine was tasty the waiter James was really good -knowledgeable, friendly and got the balance of giving us space to enjoy our meal and being attentive spot on even when he got really busy. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Slightly sneaky menu lay out that made it a little unclear what was included etc but we navigated it without too much trouble

Went for lunch with a friend on Friday which was my first visit. Quite impressed with the ambiance, food and service. Easy parking at the large car park at the rear of the property. We chose the 2 course lunch which was on offer at £12.95 which was very reasonable. Small portions but we found that quite adequate. excellent house wine, and Matt who served us was very efficient and professional. Quick service but we weren't rushed and spent 2 hours there.

Ten minutes drive from Brighton. Lovely comfortable bed. The room was a little too warm in the unexpectedly hot weather. We loved the artwork spread all over the pub. The menu was varied and interesting and we had difficulty choosing. My husband is a vegetarian and wasn't expecting such an excellent choice from a steak house. He was very pleasantly surprised. Our server, James, was excellent and very attentive. There was a large choice at breakfast and sensible sized glasses for the fruit juice. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to our next stay at a Miller and Carter.
