Ash and Peter worked on a particularly challenging residential scheme for me in 2018. I admired the problem solving expertise and commitment to design with integrity that was evident in the culture at Smith Maloney Architects Ltd. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I approached Smith Maloney to remodel my terrace house. It is now has much more natural light throughout, and an additional 2 bathroom, including upstairs, as well as an amazing kitchen diner. They achieved this while retaining the original floorspace. Throughout they were very open to ideas, and throughly explained all the steps and decisions they were making. Would recommend them and will use them for future properties.

I have worked with Smith Maloney regularly over the last 7 years on residential, conservation, healthcare and rail projects. They have a great eye for crisp modern design as well as expertise in restoration of historic buildings. There don't apply a standard design but develop the design on each building with the client and respond to the local context. This is then worked through the project details to give great looking finished buildings. They are also a pleasure to work with!

Ashley's ideas incorporating sustainability, energy efficiency and interesting design features won me over on his initial visit. Giving me careful guidance during the outline designs, planning process, selection and commissioning of contractors, and through the build- and fit-out phases his professionalism stood out at all points. He monitored the project and kept in close contact with the contractors (Abbots Construction), with whom he had worked previously, ensuring their work maintained integrity with the original design. The finished product has brought us much happiness, and has transformed our house.

This is a caring sharing practice in what was a far from straight forward remodeling but the expertise and support provided from conception to completion gave us confidence that the project would meet our expectations in line with the design brief and within the agreed budget. We thank the team for being so attentive and keeping us updated on a regular basis and responding to our instructions in a timely manner especially as we were residing in a different part of the country.
