Cycling Position

Absolutely brilliant. don’t let the small size put you off. i was worried that my budget for a road bike would be too small for an obvious specialist, but james was super-helpful. he listened to my thoughts and needs, asked my budget, and came in right at the bottom of what i wanted to spend. he ordered my bike and parts and built it within a few days. i had a (free) 2-hour bike fitting that completely eliminated my last issue of numb hands and set the bike up perfectly. i also took it back after 250 miles for another (free) tune-up. it is fantastic and 100x better than my old one. you don’t have to spend £kkkk to get something amazingly good. don’t come here if you want to see thirty different bikes and have a meaningless conversation with a salesman before choosing the prettiest one and walking out with it, only to find it doesn’t really fit. do come here if you want amazing service from a really knowledgeable man who won’t try to sell you anything you don’t need and the most fantastic aftercare and support. i would send anyone i know here and i will be back for more!

I first came to james and bex for a bike fit and i now refuse to go anywhere else in bristol! i knew very little about bikes being a fairly new club rider but they never make you feel stupid or inferior. over the last year they have got to know me and cycling needs and when i approached them to find me a new bike they couldn't have put more effort into helping me find the right one for my needs and budget. they will never try to sell you something that you don't need or isn't right for you and you can trust them completely with their bike knowledge given james is a bike obsessed soul himself!! the servicing i've had is brilliant and they can always fit you in. i often end up staying in the shop longer than i plan because they are also just really friendly and humble people to talk to and they love what they do. i've learn something new everytime i talk to them and am very thankful for the extra mile they always go for me.

Cycling position is not only the best bike shop i have been to in bristol, but possibly the best period. james and his team are generous with their knowledge (of which they have a lot), and are approachable, and friendly. the team are considerate about the service you require and don't just try to up sell you with unnecessary services - their focus is on getting you back on a safe, well fitted bike.

James and becks are just wonderful people! they have both been extremely kind and helpful sorting my bike for an ironman. the advice, the bike fit, fixing my bike when i crash and all other services, they are both incredible! extremely knowledgeable, great value for service and actually feel valued as a customer. i will continue to use their shop, and will recommend constantly every time i get the opportunity! best bike shop in bristol!

James and becks at cycling position were recommended to me by a friend because i wanted a bike fit before i purchased a new bike. the fit worked wonders on my comfort and ability to cycle for the day. the friendly welcome and no pressure advice was excellent. they wouldn't sell you anything you didn't need or want. they listen and advice. so happy that i was introduced to them. i have purchased a bike and kit from them and they are my go to cycle shop. would and will highly recommend them to anyone of my friends.
