Travelodge Bristol Central

Small but functional room at large cost. I've stayed in 5*s for less than the cost of this box. Greatly overpriced. Good location makes up in some small way and cannot fault the staff who were helpful. House keeping do a really good job. If I could rate them separately I would give them 5*s.

Josh at this travelodge was outstanding. Josh, with help, was running the reception, bar, taking food orders and cooking too. This was on top of sorting out any problems within the hotel. Josh deserves a medal. Everything was dealt with efficiently, with so much enthusiasm and knowledge, not only to us, but everyone else I heard Josh dealing with. Josh had great insight on the menu and was helping people choose when they were floundering, with great proffesionalism and always very friendly. All this, and Josh had only been working there 4 days at the time of our stay. I can recommend eating here, the food was quick, hot and cooked fresh, we really enjoyed our meals. The hotel is in an excellent central area. Free car parking for disabled people and plenty of paid parking for general cars.

I had a rather disappointing experience at this hotel. One major issue was the excessive noise during the night, as I could hear all my neighbors and even a man screaming near our window. Additionally, upon entering our room, we discovered a dirty cup and a shortage of toilet paper. However, when I brought these concerns to the reception, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, which I appreciated. Despite their excellent service, I can only give this hotel a three-star rating due to the cleanliness issues, including a torn mattress.

We booked the accessible room for two nights as we were visiting bristol to see The Lion King at the Hippodrome. The staff at the hotel were fantastic; very thorough at check in, going through the in case of emergency protocol and the evac procedure etc. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, happy to accommodate us with extra pillows and replenish the tea/coffee etc. It is the conscientious staff members that made up the stars of this review. Unfortunately, the room wasn't as clean as expected with dried bogeys on the windowsill and chocolate all over the furniture. There was no shower/bath seat either. The beds do not have mattress protectors. The hotel is noisy as an inner city hotel with staff and hen dos etc but this is to be expected and not unusual for a budget hotel. The breakfast is basic but presentable, small cafe style breakfast room. There is a car park attached and blue badge holders staying at the hotel can park for free.
