I used Simpson Solicitors to draft my first will. Having never undertaken the process before I had little idea of what drafting a will entailed. The front office staff couldn’t have been more friendly when I spoke to them about setting up an appointment, following up with calls to confirm a few days prior to my meeting. Melissa was my legal advisor, she was extremely professional & knowledgeable in guiding me through the process to give my family peace of mind should something happen to me. Probably, like a lot of people, I kept putting off making a will, thinking I'd get round to it some time and always having an excuse not to do it! My sister recommended Simpson Solicitors, Kingswood branch and I'm so glad she did. Michelle was so nice, explaining everything in detail that was easy to understand. Making out a Will is not one of life's easiest processes, especially having to discuss the 'final' part of one's life, but having read the experiences for Simpson's, I decided to make an appointment and sort out the details. I spent two sessions with Melissa Witter and found the process very straightforward with Melissa guiding me throughout all the necessary details and explaining some of the usual legal issues that often baffle me. I was made to feel relaxed not only by Melissa, but the other staff supplying a friendly face and, of course the welcome coffee, thank you and it wasn't such an arduous process as I feared. Thoroughly recommend this practice! It's a little gem tucked in-between the shops at King's Chase in Kingswood. I came to compose and deposit my Will. Michelle is a very compassionate warm-hearted person, listens and is patient, is very professional too, will look after you and your requirements. I've been there for a second time today to sign my will. I was offered a coffee and astonishingly they have oat milk, which caters for me as a vegan, so massive thank you! That was a brilliant touch! I first met with Melissa for someone to take a professional look at my existing will, having received poor service from the company that wrote the original will. This seemed to be full of jargon and did not reflect my wishes and was not in the best interest of my wife. I returned at a later date with my wife and in a relaxed atmosphere Melissa was able to advise us of changes that would best suit our requirements, guiding us through the options available with suggestions for appointing executors, beneficiaries etc. We returned a week later to write new wills that included additional trust protection.
