The Art Studio Summerseat

My first session last thursday was a most enjoyable event. not only were we guided step by step through a watercolour painting by an expert artist, but the group of fellow learners was welcoming and friendly. above all our host makes us feel very much at home with full provision made for us. cannot wait for my next session.

I attended a watercolour class at the art studio summerseat which was really enjoyable. i think there were 8 of us in total so not too big a class and the hosts/teacher were very nice and welcoming. the setting is very pretty with the class actually being in the host's house in a very lovely, large kitchen. outside there is a seating area along with a separate studio selling art by local artists. it was good to try a new skill and i will definitely book again for another class at some point soon.

Quirky and home grown! it’s a little oasis of peace. a nice selection of unique items, many made by local artists. bought a lovely hand made necklace for my wife along with two interesting pictures for my young son and 24-year old daughter. plus some beautiful painted stones and several scented candles. they loved these gifts. well worth a browse!

Fabulous wine tasting evening at the art studio. we were hosted by june and her family alongside stuart from the vineyard in ramsbottom. great art to view in the house and the studio while sampling a variety of lovely wines. such a welcoming and informal experience, it felt like we were friends invited to a house party. i'd definitely recommend anyone to attend if they can.
