Been a member for 14 years and never tire of the challenge. not a "grip it and rip it" course but one that you need to plot your way round. a great variety of holes with greens that are true and a sensible pace for most golfers. friendly members and good bar and catering which makes the 19th well worth a visit.
Just joined recently and already loving the course. members have been really welcoming and already helping me to get my handicap. course is in great condition with some very nice and challenging holes. the 17th is special
This course is in great condition and a pleasure to play it. everywhere you look on the course is a fantastic view, looking up the sixth or viewing as far as you can see from the 8th tee across the hills in the distance. it makes you feel good just being out there.
Great golf club with friendly down-to-earth members. i joined as a member a couple of years ago not really knowing anyone there and have been made to feel very welcome. the course itself offers a decent challenge to all capabilities - it undulates without feeling “hilly”, greens roll true and fast in the summer and with it aiming to be more of a moorland course it has a lot of character compared to the vast majority of parkland courses in manchester.
A great course starting with a testing par 3 and a number of mckenzie greens. you need to think your way around the course and deal with the challenges as they come along. the greens are excellent and run true and fair. it is a great test of your all round golfing ability. the members are friendly and helpful and if you don't meet any around the course then you will with your drink on the 19th !
