Visited the hotel twice within a month. Other hotels under the Premier Inn brand are looking way better. During my first visit, the room itself was a bit dirty, especially the bathroom. Second visit.. exactly the same issue, on top of an issue with a damaged chair. I attempted to sit on a chair which collapsed and I banged my head on the corner of the bed. I wasn't impressed as I had to make a visit to the reception and explain the circumstances.. a bit embarrassing. Both ladies who were working at the time handled the issue very smoothly. Another slight issue - air-conditioning wasn't working and my room was on the 5th floor. During a heatwave, where the temperatures were reaching 30C. During my first visit I was pleased with the restaurant - a really nice burger was served. On my second visit, I decided to opt in for some pasta.. well, long wait time and the pasta was dry and chewy. What's saving this place is the price, as rooms are quite cheap. The location is perfect as it's right in the town centre, a minute or two walk away from metrolink and buses.
