Verona

Ate here at Verona after seeing it on ITV series called Ridley starring Adrian Dunbar, Great food, Great Service, Great Pint of Peroni, Friendly staff 5* I had Minestrone soup 🍲 to start(Was plain tasting, no flavour), Mrs had Garlic Mushrooms which she really enjoyed, For mains the Mrs had a Prawn dish(Which she really enjoyed) and I had beef cannelloni(It was amazing) and the Garlic bread was one of the best we had ever eaten. 5*

More recent visit: My partner and I visited Verona midweek and had a wonderful time. We were both spoiled for choice with all the amazing sounding dishes on the menu. The man who owns the restaurant is very friendly with a great sense of humour. It was a nice touch when he came over to take our order. There aren't many tables so I'd recommend booking in advance as it always seems busy, and I can see why! Took my mother for Mother's Day. Phoned up on the day and they were able to fit us in at prime time immediately. Food was served quickly and tasted great for a very reasonable price. Would definitely go again.

HIDDEN GEM! We happened to stumble by the restaurant whilst waiting for our train. There was a lunch time menu displayed outside so we thought we'd give it a go and we were not disappointed! The interior was very warm and welcoming, there were lovely features on the walls. We were seated on the quieter side of the restaurant so we had room for our little girls pram. The gent who waited on us was very friendly and I loved that he was speaking Italian from time to time. We got food from the lunch time menu offer. I always get minestrone soup when I go to Italian restaurants so I was over the moon when they had it as an option. I would say it is the best minestrone I have had at any restaurant and I've been to quite a lot all over the world. Our food was beautiful, well presented and there was plenty of it. We didn't realise when we came in it was close to closing time and the poor owner had to wait around for us, we only found out as we were leaving and he closed up after us. We both felt awful for having him wait, we'd have ate quicker had we known. That being said, he didn't rush us or pressure us at all. Lovely man. We will 100% be back, our new favourite Italian :)

The carbonara was on point, really delicious! The service was amazing and staff and owner were friendly too. The lunch deals are attractive and made the lunch affordable. The deep fried squid and pizza were above average but I do hope they would be more flavourful. The foods are worth the price and I will try other food next time.
