Bury Castle (remains)

Quiet little seating area around the remains. Information boards here as well.

Its Great How they Have Kept The Castle But Are using it for Cadets ..

Not actually a castle but an early medieval moated manor house, building started around the mid 1300's by Sir Thomas Pilkington. Listed as an ancient monument. Not a great deal to see but still a great piece of history.

Can't rate the castle remains 5* as its just a pile of bricks, but do find the army castle door entrance odd, as came here for remembrance day 20years a go. People drinking/drunk. How many people would fall in or out of little door in aa big door.
