Yates & Suddell Bury

Been going to Y&S, Bury for many years. Had both a c/lens check & eye test from Mandy & Nabeel very thorough as usual & as always excellent customer service!!

I have been a client of the Bury branch of Yates & Suddell Opticians for more years than I care to remember, and over that time I have consistently received genuine five-star service. Today's visit was no exception. I called into the store with an expensive but damaged pair of spectacles. They required a similarly pricey replacement bridge. Unfortunately, the frame has been discontinued, making it impossible to find the genuine part. Accepting I would need a brand-new pair, I began looking through the stock for a suitable replacement. However, store manager Martin came up trumps by finding a suitable bridge amongst their inventory and fitting it for me there and then, free of charge. When I eventually decide to update, such a service merits and will receive my continued custom.

Avoid at all cost, terrible customer service, incompetent, unorganised and rude. A simple job of two new pairs of glasses from the same make but in different colours was too much. Had no choice but to take the pair I was given as: ‘there will have been a reason why they ordered the same pair’ -in other words tough…deal with it! Certainly won’t be returning to a place like this again! Just a terrible experience following the eye test which I guess was okay but given the experience following the eye test, I may go somewhere else for a second opinion sooner rather than later.

Great service lots of choice, not pretentious although they are good enough to be. They are the only opticians who could put varie focal wrap around in my frames. Had 2 sets of glasses from them... Ace!

My wife and I have been customers here for many years but never again after some really poor service. Booked three weeks in advance and asked if they accepted work vouchers, which they said they did. Took day off work, turned up on the day only to be told they only had appointment in for one of us and that they didn’t take he vouchers any more. The receptionists didn’t seem interested - in fact their attitude was a bigger issue to us than the messed up booking. We have found another opticians and will not be frequenting Y&S again.
