Visited with a friend who had bought tickets but we were waved straight in, making me wonder why we had bothered with tickets. that said, they were only £5 each and it helps maintain the museum so i didn't mind. it's a small museum, took an hour or so to see everything but it's a lovely museum.
I attended the family event hey duggee with my grandson, granddaughter and daughter. what a lovely day we had! staff are so friendly and helpful. the kids loved the old buses that they could get in. there was face painting, little fairground rides, small petting farm and a food stand. then a train ride of our choice, amazing value. the kids absolutely loved it and i'm already planning our next visit.
Kids had a great time. the old vehicles are really interesting to see and in excellent condition. some of the interactive pieces have aged a bit and missing some pieces, also looking a bit tired. staff were very friendly.
Interesting place to spend half an hour but compared to the transport museum in cheetam hill i felt like it was lacking in terms of the number of exhibits
Fantastic place. i was right back in time wearing my gabardine coat, satchel on my back, one sock up one down, scuffed shoes. my mum, young and lovely as ever, hair do and outfit of the time running down the isle ready to rugby tackle me before i let go of the bus pole. cherished memories.
