The Elizabethan Suite at Bury Town Hall

This may not be the review that most people were expecting but I came here for my Covid booster and Flu jab. This place is not only a venue for weddings and the like but also a real community asset for the people of Bury. Top marks.

I've visited twice to photograph weddings. The team always make a huge effort to make sure everyone is looked after, happy and safe. The building is very impressive with some beautiful features.

Really nice and friendly service from all the staff. Food was good, all well organised and lovely rooms.

Seems like a good traditional and well kept venue. Has different sized rooms for different types of function.

Me and my Husband Ben got married on the 19th August and had our Wedding breakfast and reception here. Can I start off by saying WOW.. what a venue. As soon as I stepped foot in the Elizabethan Suite in January I knew straight away that this was the venue I wanted for our Wedding Day. After numerous visits off me being an excited bride, the staff was more than happy to let me look around the building and picture what it would look like all dressed up on the day. Simon Green the Civic Venue Manager was absolutely AMAZING with us. He has the patience of a saint. We had to change our guest list a couple of times due to people dropping out last minute and a few other minor issues arisen, and Simon tackled this straight away without a second thought. He reassured us and helped us all along the way. Brilliant service and a lovely man !! I can't fault him. He went on to be there throughout the day on our Wedding day also until the very end. Me being a dizzy blonde ended up changing out of my wedding dress in the middle of the evening and leaving it upstairs in a separate room and forgetting all about it and leaving the venue after the reception.. Simon made sure that my dress was kept safe locked away until the following Monday until I could come back and collect it. My fault but Simon saved the day ! The wedding breakfast food was to die for, honestly I could have carried on eating if my wedding dress would have had a little more room to breathe in it. Although I didn't try any of the buffet food, every single one of our guests has said that the buffet food was one of the best they have ever been to, so 10/10 for the buffet !!
