A friendly welcome guaranteed with relaxed and informative classes so you come away feeling refreshed, but always having learnt something new. Sessions are led by educated and informed teachers with a passion for sharing their knowledge. There is a great variety of classes and workshops on offer, so there's something for everyone and I cannot recommend Mind and Body highly enough.

Bury has a LOT of pie shops and bakeries! As someone looking for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free food, I found Zen Plant Food Cafe at The Mind and Body Natural Health Centre in Bolton Street (opposite the Railway Museum) has a great cafe with a choice of fresh home-cooked soups, vegan scones, juices etc, tucked back from the main road. I am dealing with some food allergies and the owner was very helpful in working out what I could eat from her menu of healthy vegetarian/vegan food. The café also has some interesting herbal teas with health benefits. You can choose from a little gem of an outdoor garden, a covered outdoor space or a cosy indoor space with comfy sofas. There's books, products and gifts you can buy along a healing/esoteric/spiritual theme. They also do yoga classes (at the moment some are online), yoga teacher training and (I think) treatments there. The whole place has a lovely, welcoming vibe and the hospitality of the owner shines through. A true alternative to the standard soulless Costa/Starbucks cafés.
