Green Lady

Considering it was a big party of us for a 50th birthday the service was great and it was fast delivery of the food. the food was also delicious as usual. thanks to adam and the team for making sure my husband's surprise meal ran smoothly.

Booked for 26 people & 2 babies for husbands 60th bd as a surprise. it was wonderful, whole process was seamless, pre ordered food and all food arrived at 1pm as agreed - not one order was wrong, everything was hot. nothing was to much trouble. service & staff were wonderfully attentive and went extra mile to ensure all guests were happy. adam was fabulous & very professional from original booking to leaving. definitely recommend green lady, fast become one of my favourite pubs

Nice to be able to sit outside, although being among smokers isn't nice so maybe have a separate area. not everyone sitting outside smokes. waiting staff were great and really polite. great prices, the fish was huge and i struggled to finish it.

My mum came up from poole just to meet up and have a meal we know its not dog frendly inside and understand that so we had to sit in the smoking area be cause of the weather, my mum has a very small dog that couldn't cope with the wind at the front of the pub outside area (not the pubs falt) how ever it was very loud with the machine noise for almost the whole hour we we there, the parking system isn't clear we put the tickets in the 2 cars we arrive in only to find that if you get a ticket you can have the price taken off the bill in the pub had to go and give the bar man our tickets, we are still not sure if we are going to get a fine as we might have stayed for longer than the hour we payed for, the food wasn't great i had a chicken pie that my husband thought was cornbeef the mash was microwaved in my opinion and dry, my husband had the chicken curry he didn't like it the naan bread and rice were cold and the naan was just like dough, the fish was ok but a bit black after my mum and dad cut into it so over all for a long trip to eat it was below par however the chips were nice and the staff were frendly we did mention our issues but nothing more was said so we left a little underwhelmed we won't return. maybe you could put a sign by the pay machine to let people know how your system works? i just want to add to my review that myself and my mum just both had a letter in the post to say we over stayed in the car park by 26 minutes it's a £60 fine each then goes up to £100 just a warning to anyone take note of the time you park, as we gave our ticket to the bar man and stupidly didnt look at the time we arrived, we thought we were only there for the hour we paid for obviously not!!

We had a short stay in caerphilly and the two times we went out for a meal were to the green lady. when we walked in, we were welcomed by very friendly staff. the pub was very busy being full of locals which is always a good sign. the drinks were very reasonably priced and the meals were not only delicious but also very reasonably priced. don't forget to check for the specials!
