Having admired all souls for many years, i went to sunnyside school up the hill, i visited today. it is undoubtedly a jewel in the crown of visitor attractions, though sadly not promoted and marketed as such. if you do get an opportunity to look inside you won't be disappointed.
Absolutely beautiful church worth a visit if you are in the area or are a fan of churches. you can also ask to go up there the bell tower which is a once in a lifetime experience they are open once a month.
All souls is an architectural masterpiece and acoustic gem. its definitely worth visiting when open. it's sad it can no longer be used for regular worship but when occasional services are held there it has a real spiritual presence.
Rarely open.... only the first saturday of every month during summer. (but you can check on their facebook page.) it's gleaming spire caught my eye from a distance on a sunny day, so i trekked up to it, regretfully to find it locked, therefore i cannot review the interior. has a statue of the renowned edward ackroyd in its grounds.
Went to view a potential sale on our new home. this church was opposite the property. was very quite. & nice for a dog walk.
