Dr Lilly Scott's Pet Behaviour & Training

We were at our whits end with what to do with our 4 year old chihuahua asa. he is such a nervous anxious dog which manifests in aggressive behaviour towards others not known extremely well to him. we have tried various dog trainers / so called dog behaviourists with minimal success or changes. we were given the contact details for dr lilly and were somewhat sceptical but saw this as possibly the last chance to help with asa’s response to others. dr lilly was the first to want to link with our vet for background information on asa which gave us hope that this would be something different. following sharing information and a behaviour report from us we agreed with dr lilly to visit us. we agreed payment for the agreed programme and level of contact which included 3 home visits and phone, whatsapp and video support. the plan was as follows 1. assessment and plan of action 2. progress assessment, review and next steps 3. final home visit to practice and demonstrate skills introduced to asa and us as owners asa was able to demonstrate his positive changes to behaviour using the skills we had all being taught. from initial visit where asa was anxious nervous and showing signs of aggression towards dr lilly watching her every move, he was more calm and relaxed to the point of falling asleep. this is a massive change and pleasing to see him so relaxed in the company of someone not close to him. we realise this is a work in progress and dr lilly is available for ongoing advice and support via text email or phone. we could also ask her to return for additional sessions if required. to summarise we have tried several experts over the years but found that dr lilly has delivered and her techniques and strategies have worked to put asa in a position to change to more positive behaviour with others many thanks john, lynn and asa 🐾

I contacted lilly for some help with my reactive dog. the difference is fantastic, she taught me new techniques to try both at home and out walking, and i feel so much more confident. the sessions were informative and interactive and i learnt so many new things. as ever with a dog, it requires patience and effort but with lilly’s help, i can see such an improvement in my dogs behaviour and walks are so much more enjoyable.

Lilly is such a great professional to have involved with our reactive rescue dog. she’s worked with us at a pace we can manage and always has our dog’s wellbeing in mind. having a whatsapp chat means that we can ask questions quickly and efficiently and lilly is always really positive and helpful. lilly has given us skills to help us manage daily interactions to help our dog settle (as new dog owners we’ve required lots of support). and we’ve completed a programme to get our dog to travel in the car. she’s gone from being terrified of going near the car to jumping in with enthusiasm and excitement! following personalised steps set out by lilly (which she staggered into manageable steps for us) meant we had something to follow to get results in a reasonable and realistic amount of time for our dog. the games/training we played with our dog as part of the steps were easy to follow and had supporting youtube videos we could watch to see what to do. helping dogs with difficulties is a really tough process; it requires patience and perseverance and having lilly’s expertise has helped us so much to keep going. lilly has been really accommodating as our priorities have altered but she’s supported us wholeheartedly. if there’s something your dog needs help with, don’t hesitate to contact lilly and find out how you can work together, kindly and with empathy, to help your dog. she really cares about dogs and that shows in how she works.

Lilly was great! our dog is nearly 6 years old and extremely reactive. she’s still a work in progress but with lilly’s help we’ve seen such an amazing improvement in her behaviour! lilly is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly and we definitely recommend her services.

Dr lilly has helped us tremendously! our dog is a young reactive lab who can react to other dogs out of both fear and/or frustration. lilly provided us with thorough support, observed the work we had already done and a provided a detailed plan to support our journey. she was kind in her feedback of the work we had done thus far and her little suggestions of alterations made a huge difference to our training. she observed the way our dog interacted with others and was able to provide clear steps to get us back to where we are now - which is greatly improved!! it has only been 3 months since we met, so we are not perfect but our dog is able to not react at shorter distances and cope better generally. it is like night and day compared to where we were before! i have already recommended lilly to others and would happy recommend her services to anybody who is struggling. the addition of being registered with official bodies meant that we could claim via our pet insurance, which was also a big help! thank you, lilly! :)
