La Luna

There will never be enough stars to award La Luna! Long time customer - my family have been coming here since they were a small one-unit cafe. Now at least a three unit with upstairs AND covered outdoor seating, La Luna has definitely put themselves on the Halifax map. Locals will have eaten here at least once in their life, and visitors should make it a priority to splurge a bit and eat here. The food is absolutely amazing (don’t let a price tag scare you!). Tonight we had Gambas Italiano, Scallops, Halloumi Fries, Filet Steak, Lobster Duo, Duck Trio, Lobster and Prawn Tagliatelle, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue, and Tiramisu. Everything is homemade in the restaurant, cooked to perfection, the quality is out of this world, and the portions are astoundingly big. Some are turned off by the automatic Service Charge on the bill, but you can request to remove this (though personally I couldn’t, the staff are polite, lovely, funny, and very fast). I’m going to stop here as I don’t think I could give La Luna the praise it deserves! Overall a must-try for any visitor or tourist coming to see Halifax’s many beautiful sites (conveniently close to the famous Piece Hall and Square Chapel!). Thank you once again xo

It is a very nice place to have a nice meal at. I really loved the ambiance and the service was good too! The food was very good, however, a bit on the expensive side. But it was expected. I really loved it and overall a very nice place to treat yourself at!

The food here is always good, the atmosphere and service is impeccable and the location is also lovely. I've only rated the food 4 stars as my steak wasn't the best and I'd recently had a better one at Mezze in Brighouse. Edit: I got a really good salt aged rib eye recently so my review is changing for 5 stars everything! (See newest photos)

Tasty but nothing special. Just Italian fusion menu. Nice vibe. Green walls awesome. Very nice and helpful staff. Drinks great. Escalopes, pizza ok. Chicken kebab not recommended. Aubergine and spinach lasagna ok. Great potential but nothing special. Very nice time spent in the restaurant. Worth to visit. You will find something for yourself for sure.
