The Malthouse

Four of us went for a meal on saturday, meal was booked for 6.30. made to feel very welcome. we all opted for the pie of the day, which was steak & ale, delicious. chocolate brownie and ice cream to follow. will definitely return.

Good location-close to halifax. our room was lovely; clean,comfortable and nicely furnished. dog friendly too which made us all feel really welcome. great food and service. a very enjoyable stay. highly recommend 👌

Superb place to eat and thrilled it's local to us. the food quality is superb and we generally go once a week - and whether it's brunch, lunch or dinner, we consistently have a great meal. staff are excellent. food quality is consistently great - and reliable to be great- which is so important when you're choosing to spend on eating out, and also when you're arranging to go out with friends and family. love what they have done with the outdoor area at the back too- quite an atmospheric sun trap in the summer. really recommend.

We have stayed here before and were not impressed. however, this time was much better. the food is good, we had dinner and breakfast. the two rooms we viewed are a little tired particularly the bathrooms. we booked a one night stay which incuded dinner, bed and breakfast. when we went to check out the following morning we were told that dinner on a sunday only includes a main course. it neither says this on the website nor did anyone inform us when we checked in. staff were friendly and as i say food very good.
