Beds By Design Limited

Three weeks after meeting with Mike and his lovely wife at their Beds by Design store, our super new, purpose built to all our specifications and more, adjustable, super king size bed was in our bedroom. Can’t overstate how delighted we are with the quality of every aspect of our bed and the service Mike provided was second to none. We had waited nearly three months for Furmanac/ Hestia to make produce and deliver a bed we were promised for mid June delivery, I am so thankful that my son met Mike and told him of our dilemma. He was endlessly patient while we decided exactly what we wanted and nothing was too much effort, even driving up to near Carlisle to deliver and install our fabulous, comfortable and all round excellent bed. Thanks so much Mike.

Mike and Dawn are incredibly helpful. We sat, had the best cup of tea and they took the time to explain different mattresses that would suit our needs. Mike made an extra trip to our motorhome to do a measure up as it was a unique shape. We were given two weeks delivery time and as we were just camping in the area and leaving earlier than we thought, we had it delivered four days earlier than planned. I never usually leave reviews, but I do honestly admit this truly deserves the honest and most valid review. First and foremost the level of service provided by Mike and the family business was incredible. I knew right from the start looking for a well engineered bed will be an uphill battle, towering at 6 ft 6 in height and being quite significantly heavy I needed a bed to be able to withstand it all. I also needed a bed that would store any clutter or unused items away. After browsing the web and finding very little hope in a bed company than can meet the expectation I honestly was losing hope and struggling at which point I thought it was never going to be possible to find a bed. I stumbled across Beds by Design ltd located not far from me and being a local business I thought I could go down in person and have a chat in what I expected. Prior to this emails had been exchanged and felt the level of communication was above excellent. Upon arrival I was presented with the most cleanest and well presented showroom. I was simply blown away, from there on in we discussed the options and various designs. Mike was so considerate and caring to my expectation and listened in what I wanted. (Usually you get salesmen who are pushy and go along with jargon. NOT WITH MIKE). A plan was drawn with with a double end lift ottoman bed with a orthopaedic mattress. Mike also has an excellent eye for detail in identifying other companies ability to construct a bed, where I had not noticed clearly. Which surprised me incredibly. With the rise of cost of living, I knew it it would not be an easy task in paying for an entire bed upfront, with the option of paying in 3 allowed me to spread the cost evenly, and putting my mind at ease. Lastly, the bed. I was advised by Mike that I will be getting a call towards end of September to arrange a suitable time and date of delivery. Arrived in the evening, taken the old bed out and in with the new really happy how quickly and hassle free this was done. I was so happy that I could finally sleep on a comfortable well made and designed bed after so many years. The bed itself is super heavy with reinforced struts, offering plenty of storage and durability to take my weight. To add a cherry on top Mike offered courtesy call to see how my experience has been so far with the bed. This I found was exceptional and going that extra mile for customers! Will I be using beds by design, certainly!!! I recommend them high, and anyone who is significant in size or height would find Beds by Design will have the answer for you!.

Absolutely fabulous service from start to finish. Mike is really knowledgeable about his product range, lets you try everything out without any hint of pushiness. He's very relaxed and lives up to everything I read in the other reviews. He asked us what we were after for beds and mattresses, suggested some we might like to try out, and left us to it. He kept us informed at every step of the way and even followed up with a courtesy call 2 weeks post-delivery. A really brilliant company with great products and people who really care about good customer service. Can't rate highly enough.
