I attended wainstalls junior and infants school from the age of 5, it was the year 1949 and the start of my education. i lived close to the school at hambleton hill farm and would walk to school with a young girl from one of the farms nearby. one of the highlights of the school year was the whitsun walk to whitewash rock, where a picnic would be had, tea and cakes all round. i am now 73 years old, but have never forgotten where i was brought up and it's nice to see that the school is still going as strongly as ever, i always remember it as a lovely place to go to. i wish you all well. g. raven.
