The Alma Inn

Been 3 times. The first time it was brilliant.. Food was amazing, 11 of us went. 2nd time the menu had changed.. Went again with a group of 11, I ordered mine and my daughters meals first.. They were last to come out by a long shot. They didn't have vanilla ice cream so took it upon themselves to serve us chocolate.. I sent mine back to get one with the whippy Icecream and it never came back out. I was told a staff member had been given it instead! And the 3rd time again a large group and I ordered first again.. The family that ordered last in the group got their meals first and 2 of them had finished eating by the time mine arrived. Pudding wise they didn't have anything in and told us they had no Toffee sauce for the sticky toffee pudding once we had ordered 'because it was the end of the week'... So we changed our orders... Then 5 mins later we were told we could have it as they did have the sauce and it'd be ready in 5 mins if we wanted it. About 15 mins later it came out. The food is really good, but the service could definitely be a lot better (group consisted of 4 separate familys)

Visited Alma Inn for just a dinner and the service from the staff was lovely and attentive. Sadly, the food was really average and too salty, so a bit disappointing. The presentation of the food was beautiful but just let down on the taste. But hopefully it was just the chefs having an off day. The restaurant also looks really beautiful and has a great view looking out.

My wife and I stayed two nights and cannot complain about anything. The staff were all professional and friendly. The breakfast was delicious as was the evening meals we had.Pricing was competitive . The location for us was great ..set in the hills . The rooms were a little small but nice so thanks to everyone at the alma inn

My daughter's took me for my birthday, the venue is lovely but the food took forever to arrive even though it wasn't overly busy plus they got the order wrong. Food was well presented and my fish and chips were tasty, one daughter had loaded fries; overpriced chips with curry sauce because there wasn't much chicken tikka on the plate. My other daughter left her burger as it was dry as too were the chicken bites my grandson had. For the price everything should be spot on. The menu was varied which was good but due to the overall experience we won't rush back.

We have visited the Alma Inn numerous times since we moved to West Yorkshire. It has a great vibe, great service and above all... Great food. Very dog friendly, which is a massive plus in my book. Pay a visit, you definitely won't be disappointed. 👍🏼👍🏼
