This is a modern church with a host of modern facilities. i visited it for a conference. i got to see a lot of the side rooms, as well as the stunning flat roofed central area. it is a modern church of england church, so no pews but with an organ. the main floor is elevated.
This is a busy and thriving church full of activities and life and with a sense of community. it is strongly bible orientated but not straight laced or over rigid. services are 75mins and contain mainly 30 minutes of talk and 30 minutes of music and singing. feels joyful but not out of this world. it is down to earth and practical as a place.
Warm, welcoming and contemporary anglican church. people were warm, open and chatty. the minister was easily accessible. the worship was contemporary but also incorporated old hymns accompanied by the organ (what a jolly surprise that was!). very god focused worship team of musicians (and varied instruments - i spotted a clarinet or oboe and a sax!!) with a great choice of music both old and new. a family church. children have separate classes so the main service is pretty much calm and uninterrupted. there's a room for nursing mums with audio loop to the main service (how thoughtful). most of all - the heart of the church is service and it can be felt. it felt great to worship here as a visitor for 2 sundays.
A wonderful, friendly church with great teaching and pastoral care.
Christ church is a friendly christian church in central cambridge. it has a strong programme for children and young people, but also welcomes their parents and grandparents. its theology is conservative and evangelistic, with a contemporary style of worship at its main services.
