Holiday Inn Express Cambridge, an IHG Hotel

Room seemed slightly smaller but that said the shower was big enough for two opposite the mirror.....:) Very quiet and good black out curtains. Love the bacon for breakfast but eggs I'm not sure about but breakfast is buffet business model and be fair works well. Cambridge a 30 minutes walk away or close to a park and ride if it's raining. Staff very friendly a d professional and polite which was really nice and noted. The mattress wasnt as firm as normal but still slept fairly well. My little ones comment when she came into the room wooooow.the view is amazing. (Car park) Followed by the bathroom is lovely.

Honestly it feels so homely, welcoming. Great value amazing breakfast fantastic staff. Clean. They make everything easy. Comfortable beds and good parking, great with dogs - the perfect hotel! Also amazing value.

There might be some room for improvement somewhere for someone! For me , I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms! Service with smile. Very helpful staff especially Cadence! Also quite flexible with-checking in/out times. Lots of parking. Quite location. I noted from some of budget hotels where there’s that deep rooted smoke like smell which is masked by some aerosol. Not this hotel, very nice clean smell, shower and toilet were quite clean too. Lots of parking. Wheelchair and children friendly place. Breakfast is usually included in the price however you need to get down early as it from 7-10 and because they stop refilling stuff. We got there 9:45 (oops), most of the stuff was gone.

Great hotel and good value for money. We stayed here as a family with two young children for a weekend to attend a wedding in Cambridge. The room whilst not the largest once the sofa bed was unfolded was perfectly manageable. What stood out in particular about our stay is that all the staff we interacted with were very helpful and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. The breakfast buffet had a reasonable selection and was regularly restocked. We were warned the hotel was fully booked so it might get busy near the end of service but we had no issues getting table or with queuing for food. I particularly liked one feature of the bathroom - the toilet was in an alcove and the bathroom when opened inwards could be used to close the toilet and let somebody else use the bathroom sink. Very hand with 4 of us in the room! We'd happily stay here again if needed. Worth noting we had a car and I don't know how practical it would be without one. You can walk along a pedestrian/cycle trail to some local pubs/restaurants but I'm not sure I'd recommend anyone doing this alone after dark.
