Girton Green

I can't praise Girton Green enough - a happy and friendly environment with opportunities to join in a range of activities, meet new people over coffee in the 'street' or catch the dial a ride bus into town. A great staff team always willing to listen and help. Thank you for helping to make Girton Green such a happy home for my mum.

I have been living at Abbeyfield Girton since it opened and it was the best decision I have made. Especially during lockdown the Management and staff have truly been marvellous keeping us all save. I enjoy swimming and the Gym and made very nice friends. You do not have to be lonely at Abbeyfield Girton Green there is always somebody to talk to.and as before lockdown we will again have plenty of activities to keep u busy.

My parents move to Abbeyfield Girton Green was good from day one. They arrived in time to eat lunch in the restaurant and continued to eat there almost every day. Mobilising around the building was easy, floors with no steps, easy access in and out of the complex and the benefit of two lifts, ensuring there was always an easy route between the floors. The staff were always friendly, and on hand, day or night if support was needed. Maintenance was swiftly dealt with by the in house team. My parents benefitted from seeing more people than they would have in their previous home, and the facilities offered at Girton Green were much utilised, the laundry, gym and dial-a-ride bus into town.

My father's experience over the five years that he lived here was more than we dared to hope. He was made so welcome by the whole community - both residents and staff - and felt happy and safe. He would often tell us how lucky he was to live here. The staff work really hard to support the residents and we really appreciated their help and expertise during a medical emergency. The facilities and building are well maintained and the restaurant is a real asset. The gym and exercise classes made a real difference to his fitness. When he could no longer manage to live independently we found a buyer for his lovely apartment very quickly. We appreciated the fact that you do not have to pay an exit fee as with some retirement properties. I cannot recommend Abbeyfield Girton Green highly enough.

We held our daughter's blessing ceremony at Abbeyfield Girton Green 'Whispers Restaurant' a few weeks ago, lovely venue, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and staff really friendly and helpful. Recommended!
