Pybus Opticians

Picked up my glasses today and I don't think the team there know what an important day this was for me. I LOVE my new glasses. For 20+ years I've had contacts and laser because I hated wearing glasses. Turns out I didn't hate wearing glasses I hated the glasses I was wearing. The lady who did my eye test was great, with a wonderful funny and gentle manner. Then the lady who helped me select a new pair was so thorough and, although I did pick the pricey pair in the end, did no obvious upselling. She really listened to what I liked and didn't, gave great feedback and today I've picked up the glasses of my dreams, after just a week. First time using Pybus as I wanted to use a local indie opticians. Did not dissapoint.

I had a fantastic experience at Pybus Opticians in Canterbury. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The staff were kind and courteous, and ever willing to listen. Jon, the optometrist, was excellent in supporting me pre and post cataract surgery. He made me feel comfortable and took plenty of time explaining whilst testing my eyes. He also gave me good advice on how to take good care of my eyes. A big thank you to a great team!

Brilliant service as usual. During my retinal scan Jon noticed a potential problem and decided to refer me to an ophthalmologist just to be on the safe side. The hospital ophthalmologist did a couple of more scans and the problem is not progressing so that was good news, and I was grateful for Jon's cautious approach. Apart from that, the woman who helped me choose my glasses was similarly meticulous in her job, taking her time to make sure that the frames were suitable for me and that I was satisfied with them. I will definitely be returning at regular intervals in the future.

Polly, the Optometrist was very thorough, friendly and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. The practice has a downstairs consulting room which is convenient when you’re in your 90s. The ladies on the desk made me feel very welcome. Jo.
