A rather disappointing medieval hospital maintained well by volunteers with nothing really worth seeing. no real history to be soaked up or expressed. the chapel above explains more but is a very much more modern example in comparison. would of liked to of seen more atmosphere for my money!
A peaceful quiet place full of history on the main shopping street in canterbury. don't miss the facinating wooden structured roof in the upper chapel. well worth a visit.
I visited this after visiting canterbury cathedral and enjoyed it. there's lots of history to learn about the place. in one of the lower rooms you can actually see the boats going under building on the canal.
Wonderful place with a rich history. absolutely worth it to take a look inside, both for the building as for the story. i found it very special that the river runs underneath the building.
This is an ancient hospital where pilgrims used to stay when visiting canterbury. it also has an area of glass floor where you can see the river and even boats going underneath. you can get a joint ticket with the neighboring gardens to save money.
