We visited Canterbury from January 2015 through March 2015. My son attended Pilgrim's Way. We are from the United States. The school is outstanding. We would recommend it to anyone. The headmistress is absolutely lovely. My son's teacher was fantastic. My son is back in the States, and he is now ahead of his classmates academically. We wish we could have stayed longer, and we miss the school tremendously.

This one of the best websites that I have seen. My visit yesterday to Celebration Assembly, coffee morning and a tour of the school convinced me that the website is no mere glossy PR. The children are happy, secure, polite and hard-working. They clearly have a very good relationship with the staff and each other. This is the first time I have seen philosophy on offer in a primary school. The "outstanding" OFSTED rating for the nursery school is well-deserved. Walking to school is encouraged and there's a surprising amount of interesting leafy green play space. There's a happy inclusiveness here. Newly arrived local parents take note and come and see this school for yourself ! Don't believe all you hear. This excellent outfit is what it says on the tin. I have been highly impressed with the head teacher, Miss Witty, and the reception teacher, Miss Hales. Both clearly understand children remarkably well and are prepared to go the extra mile. Miss Hales always gives the children a warm and personal welcome, she is creative in her teaching and always has an effective solution for any issues that arise, big or small. The celebrations assembly is extremely heartwarming and show-cases the emphasis that is placed school-wide on celebrating achievements and supporting one another. A big thumbs up for Pilgrims Way - the days where children of the neighbourhood chose to drive to alternative schools or pay expensive private fees are well and truly over. This school is an excellent choice.

This is an excellent school. My son is very happy at Pilgrims Way. He is making amazing progress and has made really lovely friends. The Head teacher and class room teachers are outstanding. Each pupil is an individual and staff go out of their way to ensure their needs are met. If you are within walking distance of Pilgrims Way or new to the area, DO NOT overlook this school. Save the planet and walk to your excellent local school.
