The service is so good, very friendly and welcoming people! the cod and chips are also very delicious and well prepared, not too greasy! my favourite fish and chips place.
There is no better way to charge your energy levels after a wild day in town than a delicious seafood platter served by seafarer canterbury! the food, the location, the people running the place are absolutely stunning and the taste is above expectations! we also loved the atmosphere and truly amazed by genuinely clean and nicely decorated indoor setting. one will immediately recognise how authentic each and every piece in this place and won’t miss the details such as the corner seating area and its wooden rails which belonged to a wales church in old times and the owners were so kind to tell us the story behind it. we thought it is a perfect match with its decent and beautiful neighbour, the canterbury cathedral. i don’t have a photo to document my face but the food, calming interiors and hospitality of seafarer canterbury made me much more presentable for the rest of the day!
Out of all the places that i’ve been lucky enough to travel in the world, the best fish & chips i’ve had is served at rosmead fisheries in cape town, south africa. a place that is synonymous with outstanding fish & chips! that was until i walked into the seafarer in canterbury. the fish at the seafarer is extremely high quality. it’s so fresh and the flakes are chunky and tasty. the batter is spot on; light and crunchy. the chips are very good too. also tried the seafood platter. decent fish and chips is hard to come by these days. the fish we had at the seafarer yesterday is by far the best i’ve had in the u.k. the owners and staff are friendly & welcoming too. please give this place a try - you will not be disappointed.
