Cardiff Bakestones

We bought 10 welsh cakes for only £4'5 and it was the best decision I have ever made. Homemade and delicious. Really nice lad. Loved it. I want to live in Cardiff now so I could enjoy them more regularly.

Was given these by a friend in Cardiff. Never tried them before, was excited to try. They were absolutely delicious and freshly baked. The plain ones were perfectly soft and not too sweet at all, great for my dad who can't have sweet things. The more traditional ones with currants were so nice and exceeded my expectations. Would definitely like to try their other cakes, when I visit in person.

This place sells the best Welsh cakes in Cardiff. They also sell a variety of other handmade goodies at reasonable prices. I particular enjoy their traditional Welsh cakes and often buy their diabetic ones for a diabetic family member who loves them too. There's almost always a small queue of people at this stall - that just shows you how good their good is! The staff here are always very friendly and welcoming.

I'm a visitor from the USA and found this place by pure accident as we set about exploring Cardiff. And I must say that if you're area in the area, you must stop by try the Welsh cakes. My favorite flavors was the coconut, and the clotted cream and jam, the latter is not pictured as we had eaten them both before I took the photo. They are not overly sweet like the sweets found in USA, if you're Asian or have eaten Asian bakery foods you'll understand what I mean. Anyway on a whim I tried the Welsh cakes and it think they are delicious, I wish I could buy them locally at home

Freshly baked on the spot with nice smells welcoming you to the shop. Tried an assortment of Welsh cakes and was impressed. Bread pudding is kinda dense and not something I'd recommend. There is a strong cinnamon taste. Friendly service from the ladies running the store.
