Museum of Cardiff

An award-winning museum in the heart of the city. the cardiff museum tells the story of cardiff through the words and objects of its citizens. the history of cardiff from the world's first record shop through migration stories and social justice campaigns. there are events for toddlers- look for dinky dragons adverts as well as other events. you can also visit the beautiful tiled corridor restored with money from the lottery. the museum has won many awards since its establishment a little over a decade ago. sadly the temporary exhibition space was taken away and no cafe but it is fully accessible with accessible toilets. it's free to all. please enjoy it now as cardiff city council seem to be planning on closing it. so if it's gone you may not see a museum of cardiff for a generation.

A really great small museum. the staff was nice. you get to learn more about cardiff and its people. i would recommend it!

I’d like to say thank you for wonderful time and excellence services from staff members at museum of cardiff. i went there on last thursday. i really enjoyed learning about cardiff. the staff gave me such a great explanation and experience. they also recommended other places and talked with me like we’d known each others for ages! kind of cool! i spent around 3 hrs there. if anyone go to cardiff, this museum is good place to go and learn about cardiff! “the staff members fulfilled my solo trip with kindness and five stars of service-minded !”

Very interesting, great stuff, really loved it. as a tourist i want to say that this is a place you need to visit.

Lots history to be absorbed here but unfortunately the tents and marquees in the quad from a recent concert spoils the view slightly. probably a great venue for a concert within the walls. at £14 an adult i find that too pricey for the causal viewer, maybe for the history buff that’s acceptable.
