Carlisle Station Hotel | Sure Collection by Best Western

The carlisle station hotel is close to everything, staff were very attentive and hard working always very helpful. our evening meal was quite adequate no complaints. our room was a good size and was at the front of the building, there was scaffolding all around the building but no problem and to say how vlose we were to the station it was very quiet. what i would say and this reflects on my rating, the room was very tired and in need of refurbishment the furniture had been knocked about a bit by the look of things and quite a few scuff marks about, the bathroom was in need of updating mold around the bath and taps probably new sealant would look a little fresher. however the towels and bedding were clean and fresh, pillows could do with pillow protectors underneath the pillowcases. all this said if in carlisle again i would probably stay again.

You can tell that the original building in its heyday was lovely. today, however, it seems a little tired (and requiring some investment!) but passable. the hotel is situated right outside the train station so very convenient for rail travel. the one thing that really stood out for me was how helpful and lovely the staff were. i've had a few experiences of them going out of their way to make me as a guest feel appreciated and they were very helpful in so many ways. my dealings with the staff at reception was nothing short of outstanding.

Excellent location, straight out the train station entrance! lovely & clean reception area, continued to the room. good size, although, the bathroom was a bit old fashioned. but everything worked just fine!! don't know if someone had messed with tv, but i could not find itv when i had a wee look, but got bbc1 and the end of match of the day, so that was fine to wind down. breakfast was flawless, all buffet, so have exactly as much as you want. very tasty as well!! staff were polite & efficient.
