The Viceroy

Wow what a find.... You must try this place. Easily the best curry I've had in the north by far. I ask for things to be tailored ie.. a Chilli and Keema naan, Egg & Pea Rice and a extra hot Jalfrezi. All of it they done and it was spot on. The staff are really friendly and the decor is fresh and modern. Was on my way to Scotland and popped in because of the reviews and will definitely be visiting again next time I pass through Carlisle 👌🏻

Staying in a cottage in the local area on holiday and tried Viceroy for a takeaways. Food was over all good, a good selection on the menu and friendly staff when I collected it. The garlic nan was a bit dry and tough and not very soft but the curry’s we got were tasty and a good portion size.

Came on a Tuesday night with 4 adults and 2 kids . Had a few drinks each & poppadoms. 4 main dishes, with 2 rice , 3 nanns and 2 chips . Food and service were great .. I'm not sure what the bill was as I never paid lol. I recommend the South Indian garlic and the tandoori mixed grill 😋 I used to come here all the time & hadn't been for ages. Great memories here 💘

Fantastic good quality food, portion sizes were spot on, not over facing but plenty. Great service, the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Highly recommended. Will definitely go again next time I’m in Carlisle
