The Citadel

Nice architecture and near the station.

It is a very nice place to sit and enjoy the sun or eat some lunch.

Impressive building. Shame you can't go inside. A local asked us what we were looking for when I was there. I told him we were looking at the Citadel. He looked confused as to why. He said there wasn't much to see in poor old Carlisle. On the contrary my friend you have a beautiful old city. Take pride, take pride!

Loved this gem 💎 and it's location. You will see this lovely building exiting Carlisle Station and if this is your first impression of the city, I believe it won't change!

The Citadel has a beautiful garden it's lovely especially when the weather is nice.
