Boar's Head

A very small carpark with limited height , no good for vans there's a small public carpark close by or street parking with limited times. Check-in at the bar , checked me in whilst serving customers at the bar Room up some stairs A small room with a single bed shower room ok Bed was ok Shower was good Eveing meal was good ,your typical pub grub restaurant good choices and value. Breakfast included Waitresse was eating at the same time as taking the order and bringing out the food 🙄 WiFi was good 👍 The parking would put me off staying again.

The most amazing welcome from all the staff. I was extremely late on a train delay but went out of their way to welcome me after midnight. Amazing service and wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended

My stay at the Boars Head Hotel was overall decent. The car parking situation was convenient, but the narrow entrance was a bit challenging. The room, although decent, was marred by old, unpleasant carpeting. The fact that the shower was designed for disabled individuals didn't affect my stay negatively. The price for the night was reasonable, and the surrounding area was pleasant. In summary, it was not a perfect experience, but it wasn't too bad either.

Firstly I'd like to say staff were amazingly helpful, rooms were a nice size but some of the fixtures and fittings need a little maintenance, door security to the room was very poor as the latch barely held. Good location for town as it was in middle. Car park to rear we were advised it was narrow before we arrived, and sure enough, we had to fold the door mirrors in on our transit but still got in

Stayed two nights in single ensuite room. Very pleasant stay. Staff helpful. This is an historic building and the stairs, especially to the second floor are very steep. There is no lift. Great town centre location, an easy walk from bus and railway stations. I would happily stay here again.
