called up before we booked a table saying that a member of the party is vegan. they said that’s fine. we get there, and there’s nothing vegan available on the menu- we ask about this, and waiters have no idea what to do, although they were extremely nice and apologetic about it, and offered us a large salad. we said a large salad wouldn’t really do, because it’s just a large salad. in the end they just took the cheese off a starter and served that, and for the main nut roast they provided us extra veggies without butter on top. so i highly caution you if you are vegan or have any dietary restrictions- the waiters, and even the chefs, do not know how to react or accommodate to you. other than that, the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious. the staff were extremely friendly and tried to help in every way that they could. can be difficult to find free parking nearby.

7 of us turned up on Father’s Day with no booking, so we thought we would just have to settle for drinks and crisps. Sure enough the restaurant was fully booked, but they offered us a meal in the bar area. The bar guys moved all the tables around for us, and got a high chair for the baby. The bar service was great, as was the beer. The food arrived quickly and the roasts were delicious, with plenty of vegetables. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend.

Came down this way for work related job only here one night but the place is lovely and the food. Is 5*. Even the bar food not just the restaurant and the room I got had a superb bathroom and a giant bed. 🙂🙏

Dropped in for a quick bar meal. Food & drink offer extensive & high quality. Building maintained to high order & finishes are classy. All staff friendly, smiley & knowledgeable. Great experience!

Excellent throughout. Would definitely stay again. The staff knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Special mention to the guy who ran the evening restaurant service, outstanding. Finally the full breakfast was the best I have ever had in a hotel. Thoroughly recommend
