I've just spent nearly 18 months visiting Qayside, since February 2022, when I had my first consultation. I was totally out of my comfort zone! but Nik smiled and immediately put me at ease!! Visiting an orthodontist with a view to having braces isn't everyone's idea of a'bucket list' moment, but it was something I needed to do for myself!! Nik realised that I was keen to get on with treatment, so we dived straight in. I had a scan and a check up to assess what was needed , and we had a plan. A following appointment was made for 1st of March, when I had the top brace fitted and a bottom brace as well, once I'd got used to the top one. Why have I logged all this info? There must be a lot of people out there, in a similar position to me, and if I could do it so could they!!!! Treatment isn't cheap, but nothing worthwhile ever is! You do need determination and patience, as treatment can take a couple of years to complete. Having braces today is considered 'cool' with the younger generation, so if your not sure whether to explore the possibilities of orthodontics, go and find out!! Nik is lovely and very empathic, as are the rest of the team at Quayside. A community of like minded people! Don't be like me! I waited fifty odd years to seek help. On the 20th of September I had my brace out, and of course I was pleased!!!!! but part of me was also a little sad to say goodbye to Nik and the girls. Well, I can smile now😁 Thanks Nik.
